Rectangle Area Calculator
Calculate the area of any rectangle from its width and height. Pick any unit for each side — the result is shown in square meters and re-expressed in the unit you chose, so you always see a number that fits the inputs you entered. Useful for floors, walls, plots, screens, paper, tiles, and any flat surface.

| < 1 m² | SmallLess than 1 m² — a small panel, tablet screen, or notebook page. |
| 1 – 10 m² | Medium1 to 10 m² — a small room floor, a generous desk, or a wall section. |
| 10 – 100 m² | Large10 to 100 m² — a typical apartment room, a garden patch, or a parking bay. |
| ≥ 100 m² | Very largeAt least 100 m² — an entire house floor, a sports court, or a small plot. |
Rectangle area formula
A=width1
Area equals width times height — independent of the unit chosen, as long as both sides use the same unit.
- Both sides are converted to meters before the calculation; the breakdown shows the area in m² as the primary number.
- Width and height may use different units (e.g. meters × feet) — each side is converted to meters independently, so the result is always correct in m².
